    Hello,

I have an issue with.. well I don't know with what.

I have a cheap Chinese camera and one day I see that it is gone from my app. You send Wifi info to camera via phone and when camera gets wifi it connects to app. So I reset the cam and send Wifi pass to it, it connected to WiFi, but my phone said fail to connect and that's it. But camera has a wifi light on and if I turn off the router the light goes off and when wifi on it comes back again.
So I thought it's an app or device fault.

Now I bought new AEG dryer with wifi function and it's exactly the same. Phone is searching for device, asks for wifi pass, sends the info dryer connects to WiFi, strength 5/5, ip matches and all but app still tries to connect it and after 5- 10min I get an error message. This message is attached. Also attached a full video of the issue.

No idea what to do, I already tried with: Poco f1, Huawei p10, Huawei P9 lite 2019

    Any ideas?

So you need the proper credentials to connect to your wifi, from the screen shot...

What do you mean?? The dryer connect to WiFi. Wifi and password correct. Just the phone does not see it

I can check Ip, Mac and such on the dryer, from that side is good.

Try doing a factory reset on the router.

Is your phone connected to your wifi network?
    That's what I'm saying

That sounds like a router issue to me, not a phone or smart device problem. What make and model router do you have? If it's ISP supplied and fairly old, you might be able to get them to replace it for you.

I agree, this sounds like you should look more into your router, not your mobile devices. Since this involves two cameras from two different manufacturers its unlikely for both to be failing the way you described. So I'll repeat what @lunatic59 asked, what kind of router do you have?

Try installing this 'WiFi Analyzer (open source)' app from the Play Store:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vrem.wifianalyzer&hl=en_US
and use it to test to your router's effective coverage. Check how strong the WiFi signal is from about ten feet away or so, and then do the same when you stand right next to one of your webcams and see if it's getting a usable signal.

The router is changed not long ago, I do not have admin access for it as it is updated wirelessly. It is D-Link Sir 825

I am also talking to ISP as they said from their side all looks good. They will try to revert the last update and if it does not help will send me new router tomorrow.

Please confirm that your ISP is going to send you a new router. That model, The D-link DIR825 is an off-the-shelf, consumer model:
    https://eu.dlink.com/landing/products/dir-825-xtreme-n-dual-band-gigabit-router
It's not a typical modem/router or modem that ISPs supply to their customers. It's a router people buy for themselves.
Again, I'd check your current router's effective range. Try to determine what the actual problem is, just getting another router might not solve anything.

Got the issue fixed. It was router settings for multicast drop. So as it was disabled now it work. So my ISP sucked and nothin with the phone. Feature came on on last router firmware update.
