    Hi,
I have an LG G3 D851.  It's been working fine until today.  It won't connect to the internet most of the time, and when it does it is for less than 20 seconds.
I know the problem is the phone as other devices connected to the same wifi are working fine.
I have no idea why all of a sudden it just won't even turn on the wifi setting, and when it does it cuts itself off within seconds.
The wifi signal is showing as Excellent.
I've rebooted twice to no avail.
I'm completely baffled, can anyone help please?

That sounds like could be a hardware problem with the WiFi in the phone itself, and very likely it's LG service required, especially given that you've already tried restarting, resetting etc.

Thanks.  I feared that may be the case.  Fortunately it's still under warranty.

Is this only at home or on every wifi you try to connect to?

Do you have any battery saving apps or task killers that turn off wifi?

No.   The wifi is turned off on the phone, and won't turn on at all.  At first it would connect for very short spells, but now the phone's wifi won't even turn on, let alone connect.

Yep, sounds like a hardware issue like mikedt said.
