Can't Connect to Xfinity WiFi

When I try to sign info a hotspot, it didn't ask me for my user ID - only my password. Very odd. Now, when I try to connect, I get this error:
WEBPAGE UNAVAILABLE

The webpage at at http://..... could not be loaded because net:ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

Any suggestion of how to fix this? Very frustrating. Thanks.

Public hotspots are not the best places to use, but due to security breaches. I'd just use your cellular data instead.

if this is your hotspot, are you sure you are connected with your device? if you are still having trouble check in with your service provider maybe it is something wrong on their end.

You cannot use an existing WiFi signal, in your example Comcast's Xfiniity, to create your own hotspot. When you use a smartphone to create a hotspot, it has to rely upon a cellular signal as its source, not a WiFi signal -- a hotspot isn't a WiFi extender service, it just creates a functionally limited WiFi network of its own.
