There are few threads around the 'net on this, but no solution yet. I was wondering if anyone here has had the same issue or any luck with it? The issue arose after I upgraded to 2.3 and restored my text message app (GoSMS) and data via TB. There appears to be numerous messages at the bottom of my thread list with a name of one of my contacts and the date of 01/01/1970. The conversations themselves are blank and I cannot delete them.

    Anyone?

    Try this

    Uninstall GoSMS and reboot
    Download and install GoSMS again
Using TB, are you able to restore apk's/data individually? If so, restore the GoSMS apk first, then restore the GoSMS data. Reboot

If you can't restore them separately, this is a good lesson to learn and the perfect reason I use MyBackup for all my backup needs (except for contacts, which I do via the Contacts app). MyBackup will allow you to restore apk's and their data, separately.....sounds strange but some apps need to be restored first before their data can be restored, doing both at the same time sometimes cause unexplainable issues.

Thought I'd try the easiest option first in the "Delete old Messages" app and it worked.

    Thanks guys for your replies.
