Can't find Launcher Pro in apps list

I downloaded LauncherPro when I first got my phone, but then accidentally set the home screen luncher that came with the phone as the default, and couldn't find any way to reactivate LauncherPro (when I accessed it under "Manage Applications" the "default" option was greyed out.)

So I uninstalled it and re-downloaded it, but now it is not showing up anywhere in the Apps page or under manage apps, even though when I look at it on the Market it tells me it's installed. I've uninstalled and re-insalled it at least 3 times and it's still not showing up. How do I fix this? It is really frustrating me...

I should add that all the other apps I downloaded show up and work fine, so it's not a general app problem, just LauncherPro. And yes, I turned the phone off and then back on again.

go to home selector in your app list and it may be in there

LauncherPro doesn't get an icon in the app drawer. From your home screen, press the menu button and you should see a button that says "Preferences" ... this is your launcher pro control. Reset the defaults here.

You could also get the app Download Home Switcher for your Android phone on AppBrain

I will add the solution here - download Home Switcher, and that will let you switch between twlauncher and ProLauncher. I still can't see Pro Launcher anywhere in any of the apps menus, but at least I can use it...

Personally I am finding the Android phone to be way more trouble than it's worth. Ugh.

Thanks guys....I would swear that ProLauncher had an icon before, but I could be crazy. Still think this phone is a PITA.

That's not the android phone, that's the app. On mine I've got 'home selector' in my app list which allows me to change the default home app. When you've got launcher pro selected this is the one that will stay as your home app. There's no trouble in that.
