download aLogcat from the market. install and run the app. once running you'll see a bunch of lines of code.... press your menu button, and press filter. then set the filter to "sec_code" without the quotes. press your home button and go to your dialer and dial ##33284# once you do this it will ask for your MSL type in 000000 and press ok unless it automatically does for you. now it should take you bake to your home screen im pretty sure. if it doesnt then go to it and run aLogcat again. once it's running you should see one line that says sec_code..... and then a six digit number. this is your MSL code

EDIT: Also if you don't know the easy way to update your prl without having to reboot 30 times then download Any Cut from the market, and once installed run it and create a "New Shortcut" then click activity, and scroll down to "Select COM Port Mode" and click it and click OK. then when the shortcut is created just go to it on your homescreen and when you open it click on Diag and it will open up your diagnostic port for good so you don't have to "catch" the port on a boot up, and you can update your PRL file with the ease of just doing it. once you're done though open it back up and switch it back to Mass Storage.
