    hi

    some info on my phone:
    t-mobile UK
just got it on Monday 19th Sep
    runs android 2.3.3 and i want 2.3.4
can't perform system update from the phone, it fails connection
so i thought i'd give rooting a try

on this forum i was pointed to the following thread:

    [20.09.2011][CF-Root v4.1] KE2/7/8,KF1/2/3/4,KG1/2/3/5/6/7,KH1/3/4,KI4 - su+bb+CWM4 - xda-developers

i wanted to give that one a try.

so it says pretty much "just download odin, then flash your respective file"
it tells me to look up the kernel version:
    2.6.35.7-I9100XXKG1-CL349526

What matters most (KG1) in this case, is in bold. Try to find the matching file under downloads:

    CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_KG1-v4.1-CWM4.zip

ok so my kernel version is 2.6.35.7-I9100BOKE3-CL186387

but the entire first page and 2nd page does not have any files for KE3.
i'm totally lost and a total noob of course.
i can't ask a question on that forum unless i have 10 posts.
    can you help please?!

If you search through the entire thread you will find others with KE3 and the one answer I saw was that KE2 works fine for you.
