Can't get email to work

i tried searching but couldnt find this...i have my phone set up with my gmail account so i use the gmail app for that and i want to use the mail app for my school email. The email adress is acbd@temple.edu, they use gmail but the email adress uses @temple.edu...ive tried both pop and imap both of which i have turned on in my email settings any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

You should be able to use the gmail app for that. In the email app, menu->accounts. Click add account. Click the sign-in button. Enter your full email address and password (i.e., acbd@temple.edu and the email address password) and follow the prompts.

If you want to use the mail app anyway, you need to log in to to your account on the web, choose settings, and enable IMAP access If you want IMAP). See this for more: Android - Gmail Help
