Help Can't get phone to com port

Hey, I'm new to the android world and I was trying to get my lg venice to unlocked so I can use it with my Verizon account. I'm already having trouble because it doesn't connect to a com port. I'm sure I'm able to do everything else but I can't start if I can't get connected to the com port

Worth the 25 bucks I spent to have a pageplus dealer flash it to Verizon, he called boost and they gave him all the codes he needed
