Help Can't get voice notification to switch to ringtone

Before I did the 2.2 update I had my phone set to when I receive a phone call in announces who's calling (if the number was in my contacts) or it would read outloud the phone number if it wasn't in my contacts. After I did the 2.2 firmware update I don't have the option to turn the notification off and have a regular ringtone. When I go to my settings and select a ringtone it still announces the number/contact when I receive a phone call. Anyone familiar with this???
