Hello, ever since the marshmallow update I have not been able to play music from an sd card. I have tried with multiple cards and the phone just does not realize there is music on the sd card. Any help would be great

Update: After putting the files into a folder name "My Music" the default music player can identify the songs and says the artist, however, if I click on the artist tab then it says there are no files at all. With google play music it still cannot find any files and with amazon music it works perfectly. I would still like to get it working on the default app though so if anyone knows a fix it would be appreciated.

Make sure the "storage" permission is enabled for the app you want to access the sd card.

    Settings > Applications > All > [Your App] > Permissions > Storage

The app does have permission to storage. I stated that it shows all the songs but not any artists or albums.
