Cant recieve MMS Files

I cant recieve MMS files on my new Droid Eris, I tried downloading serveral ringtones off verizon.com also my sister tried to send me a picture and it always say unsuccessful any idea?

Do you have mobile network enabled?

Right before I read your reply I tried that and it worked, I was using wi-fi since I'm at home, and when I turned wi-fi off i couldnt get mobile network to turn on, i pulled the battery and it turned on and im downloading at 3g, but why couldnt I turn Mobile network on, any idea? Im sitting in the same exact spot I was 5 minutes ago when it wouldnt work
