Root Can't root after factory reset

    Hi,

    I can't get my sgs rooted after a factory reset due to rebooting problems.

    Is the phone in debug mode? Make sure it is. Do a factory reset one more time (from the recovery screen), set the phone up, enable debug mode, and try again.

    I had the same issue before were it did not go the first time so I had to do the steps above and it worked fine the second time.

    Success!
    Don't forget to reboot!

    For ages and ages, my Epic 4G refused to accept the 2.2.1 update over the air because I had previously rooted my phone--or so I thought. I never figured out what caused it, I ended up flashing a pre-rooted (but otherwise untouched) 2.2.1. ROM on there and it fixed all my problems. Was damn handy.
