OK I've tried the SuperOneClick method of rooting my phone.

SuperOneClick says I have root, I have the Superuser app but nothing shows up in it. It runs an SU test and says it's working. But titanium backup says it can't find root, and attempting to download busybox from it causes the program to say it can't download it or it fails outright.

Terminal Emulator says I don't have root either.

MotoConnect keeps comning up when I put the phone in, and I've futzed with my phone before with it so I know the drivers are ok.

    What do I do?!

EDIT: Oh lord.... had to perform a reboot on the phone for it to take affect. Why it doesn't tell you this in the instructions to make sure it really works... Sorry for wasting your time

    Glad you got it working!
