Help Can't save photos to SD card?

I'm on Android 5 and can't seem to save photos to the SD card.

I'm using Open Camera, and when I select a folder on the SD card, I get an error message "Failed to Save Photo".

If I turn on Storage Access Framework, my SD card isn't listed an option:

Make sure it's a legit card. Use an app called SD Insight to make sure it's not counterfeit. If it's a good card, it may be old and failing... try a new card.

Does this app request permission to write to the sd card? Write access to sd isn't automatic with Lollipop, the app has to request it and you then grant it. So if the developer didn't do this (and I've met apps that don't) then you'll have something like this.
