Can't see friends in latitude

Hi guys. I have tried latitude tonight for the first time without success. I have added a couple of friends who have both accepted. They can see me in there list but I can't see them. My location is stale to them. I am logged in and location sharing is on. My friends can ping me and I get a notification in the notification bar. Any help would be great. Cheers

Anyone? My mate is walking glen Nevis this weekend. I wanted to track him
