    Hi,

Just got my phone(DesireHD on T-Mobile UK) and I was reading how to set Out of Office on the Exchange/ActiveSync account.

I have opened the account, gone to Menu > More and I believe out of office should be there, its not. All I can see is new meeting Invitation, new account and settings.

I've seached the web and the forum but cant see anyone else getting this.

Apologies if I've missed someting simple

    Jim

From your Inbox, click Menu / More / Account Settings / Out of Office Settings.

At least, thats the path on my Epic.

I'm sure it varies by app.

    Guys,

Thanks for the replies, still no joy I'm afraid. Its really annoying not being able to find it as its one of the handier new features!

    Hi jimflo,

    Did you find an answer?

Same problem with me. I am in India. My company has MS Exchange 2003.

Someone recommended checking support for OOO using a free app but I cant download this app. I get a message 'not found'. May be the app is not allowed in India.

Tried raising ticket with HTC support 3 weeks back but no response.

I am using the HTC mail app for my exchange account on my Desire (not HD).

From the mail inbox, it is Menu > More > Out of Office

Can you confirm whether you are using the HTC mail app or another app? As was noted, other apps might have the setting in another location or not have it at all.

It was to do with Exchange server. My mailbox was on Exchange 2003. After moving to 2007 i am able to see this option.

And also able to view emails in HTML format. 2003 doesn't seem to support HTML push. I can now choose between HTML and Text mails.

The Out of Office Assistant has been around for a long time. FWIW, I haven't found the option in Touchdown. I'm guessing worst case you can hit OWA from your browser to toggle it if you can't find a suitable app.
