    Hello,

For a couple of years I've happily used Barnacle for wireless tethering (rooted with Cyanogen 7.1).

SuperUser confirms that Barnacle has root access.
SuperUser confirms that OpenGarden has root access

But now neither of those two apps seem to get SU permission when they ask for it. (Both throw error messages of the "are you rooted?" variety.

    Suggestions?

Try clearing that data for the superuser app in the manage applications screen.

    Also, please see:

"Customers who do not have dedicated Mobile Broadband devices cannot tether other devices to laptops or personal computers for use as wireless modems unless they subscribe to Mobile Broadband Connect." Which is a portion of the Verizon tethering policy, posted at:

thanks for that suggestion. Regretably it didn't solve the problem.

Doesn't CM7 come with an built in hotspot utility? Have you tried that?

If it does then I'm not aware of it now have I found it. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

I could be wrong, it's been a long time since I've run CM7.
