Help Can't update the S/W from (v10d to ????)

K so ive already updated my phone's s/w to v10d a couple of months ago and now the lg updater tells me that theres an update for my phone, so i hook it up do all it tells me but i keep getting stuck at 4% on the UPDATE progress bar and it tells me remove and reconnect my battery power on my phone and restart and ive been doing that for a while.

What does this mean oh great and wise community?

did you rooted your phone? if yes, unroot it first, and update your phone.
