I have a rooted HTC Desire 626s (MetroPCS), currently with Android 5.1, and I've been trying to update it all day . Every time I try to install the update it stops around 30% and replaces the green symbol with a red triangle with an exclamation point in the middle, then rebooting the phone. 1.) I searched the internet for answers the first answer was linked to my phone being rooted. So I unrooted the phone, rebooted it then tried again, getting the same result as before. 2A.) The second answer I found on the HTC help paged advised me to update all of my apps, so naturally I tried to do that. A simple task, right? 2B.) Google Play constantly crashed either when I tried to update an app or before it even loaded. I also searched for an answer for this, and what I found was that I need to check for any system updates and install them, but the only update available is the 6.0.1 update, which keeps failing. 3.) The last and simplest answer I found was to do a factory reset. I did that, went through the setup process again, then tried to update once again, also getting the same result. Is there any way for me to update my phone?
