Does anyone use hands free *and* streaming over bluetooth for their car stereo head unit?

I have a Sony MEX BT2900 and while the audio streaming is good, the hands free voice is awful! The people I call say that their voices are echoed back to them. After some searching, I found other people have the same problems. This leaves me with no alternative but to find another unit.

I'm thinking of the parrot RKi8400.

What are your experiences with bluetooth head units?

I have the same head unit. I have had some poor calls but most of the time it seems ok. No one has ever mentioned an echo? you can adjust the mic volume on the unit maybe that will help?

No problems with SGS2 and Renault Radiosat head unit for phone calls at all, and music streams very well as well.

The only problem I have is I just get "audio track" on the head unit when playing music via bluetooth, does your S2 forward iD3 tags or is the S2 not capable of AVRCP 1.3 (the protocol for iD3 over bluetooth). My headunit supports iD3 tags so I am assuming it is the phone!

The stock media player streams ID3 tags over bluetooth, the stereo shows the metadata. However I can't find any other media players that stream the tags.

Ok thanks for confirming that my S2 should stream iD3 tags, is there anything I should be setting on the phone for this to happen?

If not, I assume it is the car headunit and I will pester Renault!

As long as you are using the stock player, everything just works.
