Car Charger for HTC Hero

Anyone picked up a cheap (third party) car charger for the Hero in the UK? I saw a few on ebay but not sure if they are any good?

Either something like this (using my own usb cable):

I need something that will at least hold (or increase) the charge while using the GPS with satnav software.

Any recommendations?

I bought a charger from Maplin and that works fine when charging my phone as well as connected to another phone or sat nav.

I got the one linked below from Amazon UK for a couple of quid. It works fine with my Hero.

What about phones with different voltage requirements? E.g. If you plug a 9v adaptor into a phone that actually only needs 5v to charge, won't that harm the phone?
