Thought I would try out AugSatNAv this morning on the way to work and guess what. When the phone is mounted in the dock the camera is blocked so unless they modify the car dock or I want to hold the phone while driving all of these type of apps have little value.

I would like to have the camera usable when in the car dock BUT I think the reason they did this is safety. Using a camera while driving is definitely dangerous and granted you could be a passenger it is still something they can't take a big chance on. Imagine the lawsuits if people faulted VZW/Motorola for 'encouraging' them to use there camera's while driving.

Yep ... taking pics while driving should never be condoned. It is dangerous! But the more than 10K pics I took while riding my BMW across the United States and back was totally safe, I assure you. ;) Sometimes at speeds over the century mark. (That's what cruise control is for, right?)
