If I buy the unlocked Moto x from the moto maker website will it have any carrier branding on the back of the phone? From there website it looks like it might have tmobile logo on the back.

If it has a carrier's logo, you're probably buying from a distributor, not the manufacturer. Motorola's phones have the "M in a circle" (Big M) logo. What you're seeing may be a bad shot of the back, so it looks like a TMobile logo to you.

What you care about are the frequencies - logo or not, there are different radios in the AT&T and TMobile versions.

The AT&T, Verizon and Sprint versions all have a carrier logo in addition to the Motorola logo, even if you buy directly from Motorola, and even if you pay full retail. The AT&T version is also carrier locked. The unlocked GSM version is free of any carrier logo or bloatware.

The unlocked Moto x from Motorola doesn't have any carrier branding. it can be used on any gsm network, but has no cdma radio.
