Case Suggestions?

I have the Verizon/Samsung Official Extended Battery for the phone. Finding cases for that fits it is a PITA.

Any suggestions on a decent case that will protect the phone from a clumsy person?

I have the extended battery that is just a minor step up from the stock battery and I'm using the Ringke Slim by Rearth. Its fantastic, the only case I have ever had on a phone. Not high on protection but looks great and helps with dings and dents. Normally I hate the added bulk of cases.

Yeah... I want some protection for this phone. Not bulky protection, kind of like the perfect blend of bulky and slim.

*This product is also compatible with the OEM 2000mAH extended life battery for Galaxy Nexus GSM but is not compatible with Verizon 2100mAh extended life battery for LTE version.

Crap. :(

AFAIK ALL will work. My Cruzer Lite case is TPU. :D

TPU is not a hard/rigid plastic two-piece case that snaps together on your phone. It's one piece you stretch over your phone.

Just make sure any case you have has cutouts for the buttons. One of my Cruzer Lite cases (blue one) didn't and just holding the phone would depress the vol-down button. They don't look good when you cut sections out of the case either. :D

Seidio makes a Surface case for the extended battery. The Otterbox Defender also works. TPU cases work but it's not a perfect fit.

Oh, the CaseMate Pop fits but its really tight.

How is the Seidio Surface case? Is it a decent case? How is the protection of the phone? Does it have a "grippy" type feel to it?

I want something that I can keep a hold on. I don't want to feel like I'm trying to hold onto a slippery bar of soap.

Definitely go with the following Diztronic Matte case sold by Amazon. It's cheap, professional looking, has all of the proper cut-outs for ports / buttons, and as slim as it gets without compromising protection. The case is designed for the standard battery, but since it is not a hard case, it works perfectly well with the 2100 battery. This case will not disappoint, I assure you. It has protected my phone very well and the matte finish looks great.

im actually looking for a case that does not go over the edges. when playing games like fruit ninja, and tryin to slice the 3 coconuts in a row, and then to have the edge screw you so you cant get the last blade is AGGRAVATING!!!

nah but serious which case fits the vzw gnex, and doesnt go over the top? i know there is one but i cant remember the name, and i dont know if it actually fit the vzw gnex

The only issue I have with soft cases that go over the top is they can mess with the edges of your screen protector.

As mentioned previously, the Rearth Ringke Slim is a fantastic minimalistic case that does not go over the edges. I have had mine for a couple of weeks and really it.
