Well I wouldn't run out and buy a Chromecast since you already have an Android TV unit. (I love my Chromecast but an Android TV is essentially just a Chromecast with more system resources and more expansive hardware.)
But getting back to your casting query, what model Android TV box do you have, what phone model do you have, and which version of Android is your phone running? Also, is this indeed a matter where you want to cast your phone to your Android TV, or is it more about accessing common streaming video services on both devices?

Well Google killed off the Chromecast app and moved its functionality into the Google Home app. Since you've got a Chromecast you probably have the Home app on your phone.
But getting back to casting to your Android TV unit, since you don't want to reveal what phone you have nor what Android version it's running this particular feature may or may not be available but if just swipe down from the top notification bar there's a 'Cast' icon that will mirror your phone's screen to your Android TV (or if its not showing by default, in the notification bar tap on the pencil icon to select and add the Cast icon). Otherwise, look through the Settings menu for any kind of casting option to enable/disable.

I have like 20 phones, from Xiaomi version 5 to Motorola and also some Samsung ones.

The problem is not the phone as I can cast to the Chromecast and to other enabled TV's.

As my first question was, what do I need on my Android TV box to be able to cast from my phone to the box?

Surprising that there's no casting options in any of your 20 phones, it's functionality has been integral in Android for quite a while now. There are a number of third-party apps on the Play Store to try and see which of them work for your setup.

I've used an app called HappyCast, to screen-cast and stream from my phone to an Android DLP projector. But HappyCast was in Chinese only.

All my phones have casting this is why the phone is not a problem.

Is the app called Allconnect - play and stream?
