While this is a huge win for the consumer and HTC fans, there are still outstanding questions. What did Peter Chou mean when he said, "Today, I'm confirming we will no longer be locking the bootloaders on our devices."? Is the encrypted signature gone? Is the HBOOT image still signed? Is NAND protection off by default? For more info on what all this means, see this thread:
