I recently unlocked my moto G and when I try to root my computer gives an instant blue screen. Is there a way to fix it?

Sounds like you have problems with your computer. You could have a hardware issue,This will give you a BSOD.If you pc is overclocked,Check your settings.
Check to see if all your drivers are up to date.

Are you saying this happens when trying to flash a custom recovery with adb?

Did you try to reinstall adb drivers or just check if they were up to date? If it only does it when you try to flash the recovery it's probably a driver issue. Have you tried any other adb commands besides what you did for the bootloader?

I don't think the phone has anything to do with it. How old is your PC, and what operating system?

XP is pretty old these day's.Might want to see about using a computer with Windows 7 or up.Or upgrade yours.

XP may very well be the problem. If you have the BIOS updated and SP3 installed, the only other thing I could say is try minimal adb and fastboot, it's a lighter program. If this doesn't work an upgrade Windows 7 or newer PC may be your only option. Your PC may not be upgradeable to handle Windows 7 though. You could always use someone else's PC but then you won't have it right there in the future in case you mess your phone up.

This.. You can download a live ISO and burn it to DVD or USB stick.. The only place I ran into trouble was the mfastboot.exe part for flashing recovery I believe.. Wasn't sure what the Linux work around was and was impatient so used 7 for that part.. Linux is less resource hungry and just works though for the rest..

Edit.. just ran across this.. here is mfastboot for linux, win, and osx.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54927266&postcount=10
