I have an evo 3d flashed to Boost Mobile. Is there a way I can update to the newest HTC software even though I am on the Boost network? My phone keeps saying that it needs to be updated and I would like to get rid of the carrier IQ and increase battery life and whatnot.

The update comes from HTC, so I don't see why you couldn't. If you're rooted with HBOOT 1.4 or earlier, you can just download a ROM that is CIQ free and install the new radio. If you're on HBOOT 1.5, it's a little trickier. If you don't care about being rooted, you should be able to just take the HTC update in Settings > System Updates > HTC Updates. The update doesn't change any of your Boost settings.
