Ok so the topic says it all.
My hboot is 1.40(I downgraded)
I have HTCdriver3.0.0.007 installed
I have my beta key.
And my phone is fully charged what else am I missing any help would be much appreciated...
Wow I didn't have this much trouble getting my EVO rooted with rEVOlutionary haha and I only waited a few weeks but I'm dying to get root and swap to Mean ROM W/Anthrax...
Thank you in advance and thanks for the Moderator and Guides for help I suck at remembering names haha

So you are having problems with installing the beta key? It can be a pita, but I copied it into a notepad and made sure I didn't have any extra spaces or was missing any characters. Then copy that over to the cmd window and run revolutionary.

I did that too and it says to wait a minute or so

Oh, you're already S-OFF...did you try everything I wrote in the other thread?

It happens after flashing a RUU. You can't use fastboot flash recovery commands. You have to install the ZIP file version. For TWRP 2, get the ZIP version from here: TeamWin Projects - TWRP 2.1 | TeamWin

Then rename to "pg86img.zip" (caps don't matter) and put it in your SD card. Reboot into bootloader and say yes.

But seriously, 4EXT >>>>> TWRP. Once you get running and have SU on your ROM, definitely check out 4EXT. [TOUCHCOVERY] ORIGINAL | 4EXT Recovery Touch v1.0.0.5 RC1 with SmartFlash for s-on - xda-developers

------------------

To fix the HBOOT not taking recovery files via fastboot, you need to download either the engineering HBOOT or the 1.4 SHIP HBOOT. I found the files from here: [GUIDE] Root Your EVO 3D + TWRP + Eng Hboot NO ADB No Fastboot STEP by STEP [UPDATE] - xda-developers

But made them easier to download:

https://www.box.com/s/8875f2cdef8376d9faab - SHIP Hboot 1.4
https://www.box.com/s/16784692ef5070895b8f - ENG Hboot 1.4

If you don't want any crazy extended fastboot commands, get the SHIP version. If you want crazy extended fastboot commands, get both. If you ever have to flash a RUU, it's recommended you be on SHIP HBOOT, as you have a chance to brick if you're on ENG. I survived flashing a RUU on my ENG HBOOT, but I won't risk that again.

But same deal. Make a copy, rename it to "pg86img.zip" and stick it in the root of your SD card. Reboot into bootloader and flash.

No that's the problem I'm at HBoot 1.40 but I can't get S-OFF

Flash the 1.13.651.7 RUU again. But this time we'll do something different:

Open Start > Run. Type "%temp%". Clear out everything (this is your windows temp directory). Leave this window open, open a new window, find and run the RUU. In your temp directory, you'll see new directories be created. In one of the folders, there is a file called "rom.zip" Copy that to another folder and rename it to "pg86img.zip". Then close the RUU (you don't need to use it, we just wanted it's file).

Now take your pg86img.zip and copy it to the root (base) of your SD card. Unplug your USB cable and reboot into bootloader. The bootloader will detect the RUU and flash.

After it's done, turn the phone off, pull out the battery, and wait a minute. Hook everything back up and then turn it on and try revolutionary again.
