Are you on a stock Rom or a custom Rom, and which custom Rom if you are

This is the one that ended up working, I didn't have the beta version. I might try Barnacle too so I have a few options. Thanks for everyone

since I rooted the phone every time I unlock the screen it plays an intro sound as the screen wakes up. Is there anyway to turn this off. If I have the volume completely off it doesn't play, but if my ringer is on at all it does. A little annoying in meetings.

I have not changed the ROM. I guess I don't really know what they do or what the advantage would be in switching. I don't want to screw anything up.

If you have the weather unlock screen this may be the weather sound. I don't have my phone so I may be a lil off but go in your app drawer-weather-option-uncheck sound. If you don't have the weather unlock screen I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the unlock screen you do have.

With the sound issues with the EVO 3D you shouldn't be able to hear it anyways, JK, LOL HaHa :p

I can see why HTC claims they don't have a sound issue. My RunKeeper app is extremely loud. Just as loud as my Evo. So at least we know the speaker is physically capable of loudness. Keeps me optimistic that something on the firmware side will fix the issue.

So.... Settings > Sound > Screen lock sounds is checked by default. Uncheck that and the clicking noises will go away.

Not sure if that's what the OP is referring to...
