I can change my default notification sound for all my notifications, but I can't seem to figure out how to change it so my mail notification has a unique sound from my text. Is there a way to do it?

    1. Download the Forums for Android™ app!

Sure. When you're in the app, just go to Menu, then Settings and you can control Notifications and sounds.

Thats the thing though. In the mail app, when you go to settings, there is only a checkbox for notification sound and vibrate. It doesn't let you actually pick the sound.

It's the system default sound, Settings -> Sound & Display -> Notification sound

Ok thats what I figured I had to do. But that will change my default on all my stuff likes text messages and mail. And then I guess I will just have to go into my text messages and change that sounds. So email can only use the default one :(.

You don't have "Select Ringtone" in the notification settings when you press Menu>Settings in the Gmail app?
