Help Change startup (boot) animation (root / ADB)

You can change the startup boot animation, or remove it.

To remove it (but during boot this will show a black screen for a reasonable amount of time):

> adb shell
$ su
# mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/stl6 /system
# cd /system/bin
# /system/bin/busybox cp bootanimation bootanimation.orig

then do:

# /system/bin/busybox rm bootanimation

To change the samsung boot animation to the Android boot animation:

# /system/bin/busybox cp bootanimation2nd bootanimation

Then reboot the phone.
