    Hi,

I have a Galaxy S4 and I just bought an S7 Edge today, I just have one small confusion.

Years ago I setup my buttons on my Galaxy S4 so the "Recent Apps" button instead opens settings for whatever app I'm on.

I also had it so doing a long press on the home button opened Recent Apps.

Is there a way to customize this on the S7 Edge? I loved having the ability to open settings rather than recent apps with the bottom left button.

    Thanks,
    -Dan

Perhaps other launchers might have the feature to define key actions (I know that TW and Nova certainly do not)

My feeling is however, that you can only do this by rooting and installing a custom rom or Xposed.

Thanks, I've been using Nova for years for small icons, with getting my s7 edge I've noticed some aspects Nova Pro offers that I now require. I'll just save up some Google Rewards for a couple months and purchase it. Or just flat out buy it.

    Thanks nonetheless.

You will get extra gestures in the pro version but you still won't be able to user define the menu key action

Ok thanks. I was under the impression you could, that changes it a bit. I still like the idea of supporting the app as I've been using it for free for so long.

You can define home key button action but that's all.
However, I've had the pro version for years now and wouldn't be without it.

You can open settings on some apps with a long press of the back button nowadays.

Personally though, just try and get used to the new layout. It's really just preference. Unless you would take the rooting path.

You need go Google Play market and search a tool with "Button Mapper" or "Button remap" keyword
Now you can change everything, No Need Root
