Hey, does anyone know of an app that would allow the user to switch the location of the virtual keyboard, so that it would occupy the top half of the screen instead of the bottom? The bottom 1/2 inch of my Hero's touchscreen is unresponsive, so typing is a pain, but if I could get the keyboard onto the top half and everything else (message field, browser, etc) on the bottom, it would be ok.

    Any help much appreciated!

I haven't heard of anything like that. But have you considered rotating the screen by 180 degrees? I know that it's an option on a lot of custom roms, although I don't know if it can be done without root.

I tried that, but unfortunately it then renders the right side of the keyboard unusable. Thanks for the tip though!

Are you thinking of the standard 90 degrees rotation? I meant turning the phone all the way upside down, which would put the keyboard at the top of the screen like you were asking.
