Hi all,

I'm running Android 6.0.1 on my reliable non-rooted Samsung Galaxy S5, and using Nova Launcher rather than Touchwiz. My battery life is woeful, but the phone works like a charm otherwise and Nova is great. But I am wondering is there any way to change that horrible teal colour from the notification shade, either just there or system wide. Bear in mind, Marshmallow running on the S5 does not give you the nice layout of the S6 with its cooler colour scheme and nice miniamlist icons. I actually prefer the layout of the S5 but that teal just drives me mad. I have tried the Material Status Bar App, which did what I wanted but was very unstable on the S5 and just didn't work smoothly enough. I also tried the Simulate Colour Space in Developer Options but the available options were garish, and obviously not aimed at me.

So, has anyone had any good results with other apps, or is there a way to break into the code of the phone without rooting, to change the colour?

Thanks in advance!

Joe
