I got a new charger yesterday but it won't stay plugged in to the phone. The connection itself doesn't feel right when I plug it in. Is that normal for a non-stock charger? I've never had happen before so I'm wondering if there could be something wrong with the charger itself.

Firstly if you're using a case, this can sometimes have an effect on the charger plugging in, depending on the thickness of the case around the charging hole.

Secondly if could be the charger you have has got a fault of some sort, it could be (most likely) that the two tiny barbed pins on the underside of the charger (the metal micro USB bit) are weak or poorly lined up. They can and do fail from time to time.

fortunately new chargers are cheap and easy to obtain.
