What do I do? Perhaps it was the 1.6 upgrade I got?

Is there some setting somewhere I can check/uncheck?
    Thanks
    Tony

Um, you actually want the charging tone? lol It is a setting you can switch on and off. In stock settings its under sound and display, the check-mark for sd card notification. In twsettings, its under Sound profiles. You should be on normal, click Edit. In the upper right hand corner, select Phone. Its at the bottom, SD Card Notification.

I was wondering about this this morning while I was getting ready for work. I unplugged the phone and braced for the sound, hoping it wouldn't wake my wife. The sounds nevr came on. I don't know how long I've been without the sound but I know I did not manually turn it off. It could be the 1.6 update?

Are you saying this is in the 1.5 version or the 1.6? I have the 1.5 (didn't get the update) and i dont have any setting like you're describing.

Um, either. If you are running bare-bones stock, with no home replacement then its gonna be in twsettings. The icon is called Settings. If you are running any home replacement, then you can access twsettings or stock settings. You can access stock settings in most home replacements by hitting Menu. I actually looked for a while when I originally got the phone in november on how to turn it off. I found it EXTREMELY annoying. That being said, in 1.5 I'm pretty sure you have to go into twsettings to make it stick. I haven't been running stock anything since I rooted the phone and started experimenting, so I can't say for sure on 1.6 stock on which way will stick.

I'm waiting to flash bearsfan85's updated rom. As soon as it is posted, I will flash back to 1.5 to confirm this, before I flash bearsfan85's update.

Ok, so you are 100% right. The sd card notification setting wasn't added to twsettings until 1.6. What you have to do is download a home replacement, and access setting through that, or download Anycut, and find the shortcut that corresponds to sound and display in stock settings.
