I could've sworn I saw something about a new in-app chat feature for YouTube users a little while ago, and I just realized I never got it. Anyone has that ?

Could this be the chat for live feeds? This is news to me but would be pretty neat.

I don't think so. I had seen something about a native sharing and messaging feature to share videos staying in the app and be able to have conversations about it separate from the comments section on those videos.

Yes that's it ! I wonder what happened with it ... Some people even had the extra tab on their app already...

Whatever happened to the feature in Youtube where you could keep the video playing in the background in the notification tray? I'm sure this feature was there for a short while. Everytime I exit Youtube the video pauses when im out the app?

They do, though I *think* you may required a Youtube Red / Play Music All Access subscription to use it (not sure about that).

In the Youtube app, check (menu) -> Settings > Background & offline.

@nathaneous1 Did you have a YouTube Red or Google Play Music subscription that has since been canceled? Because that functionality within the YouTube app is only present with an active subscription.
