    I just emailed HTC and that's what they replayed when i asked them about the froyo update .

    "Kindly note that all HTC Desire will receive the update for FROYO 2.2, and for Middle East Devices it just taking time to be launched as the device has just released in the Market. We are expecting to be launched during the coming two months and can

    That's why there taking time , its for making the arabic supported and the android market to be available for the ppl who wants to buy stuff.
    if you have the middle eastern version then you'll have the arabic support , if you have another version you'll not have the support.
    and that's clear in the 2.1 version that ships with the device.

    Oh but other HTCs dont have Arabic :S
    Also, I think the Market wont be available all at the same time in ME...
