Chinese android

As newby to Android OS I have a question. I have an android tablet but it was sourced from China and the Android OS is 4.1 Jelly Bean but it seems to be a Chinese version with most characters in Chinese. I have tried setting the language to English but it only changed some parts. How can I delete this version and source and load an English version?

I have the same problem. My instruction book says MID-android. I hit factory reset and the whole thing switched to Chinese.

yeah that is the issue with these off brand tablets(http://androidforums.com/android-lounge/631594-off-brand-phones-tablets-worth-low-cost.html )......you should be able to switch language in settings but i do not know chinese so i can help you there.
