Using chompsms to get messages. Only problem is when I get a text the message app also kicks in and I get two icons at the top of the screen. How can I stop messages app from working without stopping chompsms?

Dont think you can fully disable the messaging app, however you can disable it from showing the notifications (in messaging settings).

Yep, I use Chomp and love it...

Simply open the stock messaging app hit MENU and look in the settings for notifications and switch them off, easy as that
