Chrome beta is undoubtedly the best browser, or to be more honest soon to be the best browser as it evolves, but since it is still in beta it expectantly has some bugs. It does experience FCs and hang ups.

It is not just like the stock browser, it's a more unstable, though more powerful and faster version. The best feature of it is being able to sync with your desktop chrome browser. All of the history, visited links, and even tabs currently open on the PC can be accessed from it. If I visit sites on the phone, it automatically comes as a visited link on the desktop client too.

But remember it is still in beta and has some evolving to do before it's perfect.
Even with the bugs present it has replaced dolphin browser to be my new default browser.

better?..... you mean beta as in (pronounced bi ~ ta)
beta is the final stage of testing before a commercial release, so there for maybe buggy.

but on the question on it being better then the original android browser yes it is ment to be and google will replace the stock browser with chrome in the future

You are asking me? I already mentioned that it's my default browser, so YES use it. :)
But yea some sites won't work fully and there will be FCs and hang ups. But it's worth it.

I found it was slower than Dolphin HD so I switched back.
I also found it doesn't render pages as well as Dolphin, has no flash support and doesn't tap to zoom as well as Dolphin.
I do like the syncing of bookmarks though.
