I am trying to check passwords on my Chromebook and go to three dots settings passwords and instead of a pin on my pc it asks for a password. Which one do they want. My google one does not work.

Not to my knowledge. I thought my Gmail password would be the password. I do not see remember any place to set up a specific password or pin.

This is the Chrome's passwords section where you can check passwords, In my pc with Chrome it is a pin and here it is a password.

ok the 3 dots.....where are you seeing this? and to change check your passwords....are you talking about your chromebook password? your google password?

for the chromebook password go into your chromebook settings....fastest way is select the time(bottom right)>select the gear icon>select people>select screen lock and sign in>use your google password

also is there a forget password option?

There are 3 vertical dots upper right. If you hover over them t says customize and control Google Chrome. Click on them and drop down to settings. Now the second box says autofill. IN that box it says passwords. Click on it. You will see a lot of saved passwords. If you want to see the password of a site you click on that site and Chrome will ask you for "your password". [ and on a pc it asks for your pin.]
I am getting enter your password on the Chrome book and entering my gmail password same as password to enter Chromebook which says invalid.
That is the problem.

is this from your chrome browser.....the three dots?

sorry i forgot to check on this thread.....hopefully you have figured it out yet.

but i'm on my pixelbook and do not see what you are describing. what chromebook do you have?

It is an old Acer CB3 14". We will be buying a new one as support expires in Nov 21 after 6.5 years.
