I'm wondering if the version of CWM you're running is compatible with your OS.

I am wondering why you would install your CWM via ROM Manager? And also some old version? 1.4 ?

btw I do believe "backup" == "nandroid"

I got my CWM via a nice kernel through the kernel flasher (speedmod kernel) before I did the backup of the stock kernel so I can revert back. But with your recovery no idea if you can still do it :p . Am new at this too :D
