Help cloud ??

Hi all , iPhone have the icloud to back up all the phones settings and stuff but what does my g3 back up to , is it Google's cloud , if so , where is it on my phone , how do I access it , is there an android cloud ?? Cheers , Dave

There will be an option in the settings to back up settings etc to Google servers. On my phone it's in Settings > Backup & reset, but I don't know whether LG's menus are different. It may well be set on by default.

I personally manage my own backups, rather than trust some corporation to do it for me.

Interesting - it's been a standard Android feature for several years. You are sure it's not hidden in another menu (privacy for example)? Of course it's possible that LG (or a carrier, if you bought the phone through one) might have removed it.

Conversely backup to SD is not standard!

Your stuff is backed up to your Google account as long as you have it set to. Check in Settings > Accounts > Google and look at the sync settings to see what is being synced to your account. HIGHLY recommended to sync your contacts, calendar, etc. Also check to see if WiFi settings and apps are being saved to your account.

Note: This will not save SMS, MMS, photos, documents etc. You must do that separately. Check into the Google Photos, Helium, MyBackup Pro and Google Drive app;s in the Google Play store.

Everyone with a Google account has 15GB free storage on Gooogle Drive. Of course, you can buy more space at very reasoaable cost. Access it via the Google Drive app or online here:
