Root CM11

Anyone running this yet?

I got it on but i dont have anything except the notification bar showing.

I'm running villuminati 4.4 on virgin mobile, I love it fast and smooth data works perfect.

You cannot use the direct boot kernel WITH it, you use el29 to flash ROMs to avoid the brick-bug.

Sorry yes, thats what I meant... I flashed the rom but then didnt get anything besides the notification bar and so went back to 10.1 for now.

I had the identical problem, but got it straightened out, what were you flashing cm11 from?

I was coming from SlimBean 4.2.2
First I backed up everything from the phone to my external SD cad
I flashed el29 booted into recovery
did a factory wipe/reset
wiped cache and dalvik
then formatted SD card ((NOT external)I wanted a fresh clean install)
I then flashed cm-10.2-20131215-NIGHTLY-d710.zip
wiped cache and dalvik and rebooted to the ROM
once I was successfully in 10.2 I then rebooted to recovery and flashed VILLUMINATI-12042013-d710.zip
Then flashed the pa_gapps-modular-full-4.4-20131126-signed.zip
wiped cache and dalvik and rebooted successfully into CM11.

I don't know if the is the "correct" way to do it, or even if it's the safe way to do it, it's just how it worked for me. I'm sure I didn't have to do all of the wipes I did, but if anything it was redundant and not lacking.

I came from CM 10.1
Seems a bit of a screw around if you have to flash to 10.2 then flash to 11

It needs the latest CWM, which 10.1 does not have

Yep it needs latest cwm I do the same flash the nightly.Pretty amazing ROMs for sure.
