I thought I read somehwere a little bit ago that CM6.1 doesn't require an eng hboot? Im guessing it still does however since I haven't heard anything I thought I'd ask!

I'm still just a noob at this, but I read on the xda forum today that the eng bootloader is not required if you are rooted s-off. I flashed cm6.1 rc 1 today, without installing any sort of bootloader, and things seem to be fine.

CM 6.1 removes the check for the bootloader. Having S-OFF is sufficient.
