WTF? Why can't I play my music on CM7? I can play ALL my music on Myn's Warm 2.2 but I can't even access 1/3 of my music files. Does AOSP ROMs not recognize certain files (.wmv's)? I was told earlier today that it could be due to the size of the file and there was a way to allow for bigger size files to get played but I can't seem to find where this setting may be :(. I rebooted my phone and still I only have a handfull of albums with only a handfull of songs, I even placed all my albums inside a folder but I can't access them. HELP!

convert them to mp3s. The aosp player will not recognize wmv files. There is a free converter. Its easy and saves a ton of space....

I've had no problems with music player or winamp, which is what I use.

UPDATE: Well it seems that indeed the .wmv files were the culprit! I dl'ed a free mp3 converter (thanks Evomattnc) and converted all the files to .mp3's and CM7 now recognized ALL my music!

Yeah. I checked around the market for a free player that would play wmv files also. Never found a good one ...

Yeah, it took me almost 3.5 hours to convert my files but it was worth it! My Memorial Day weekend will definitely rock.
