So I flashed CM7 GB a few hours ago and everything is working. The only glitch I have found is I lose my 3g during calls. Anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this?

Can't make calls and use data at the same time as a cdma limitation

You know I have never noticed that before. I got the same answer over at another site as well. I guess I have...umm.....no glitches?.....lol....I feel stupid now.

Connect to wifi if you want data and phone calls at the same time, that's the only way.

Won't be an issue on 4g, something to look forward to if you plan to stay with Verizon...

4G is all hype right now. Cell companies are marketing their phone with 4G like it's all the rage but their not telling people the 4G coverage areas are very limited right now.

also not all VZW 4G phones will be able to do simultaneous data/voice.

The ThunderTurd can do it but i believe it was stated that the bionic will not be able to.

Well I couldn't take it anymore and flashed back to my MIUI lastnight. CM7 is just too glitchy for me. So there, I tried it trophy and don't like it...lol. Maybe when it gets finalized I will try it again cause it's not a bad Rom.

Who would have thought the Rom I put off the most (MIUI) would be the one I love the most.

That's good, each person has their own preference.....I tried MIUI for about half a day, I couldn't stand it any longer than that :p

I was up there with the people that supported MIUI and loved it. However the airplane mode just got to be too much for me and then I ran in to other bugs where I could not get data at all to work, still had service, but data would be out for 58 of 60 min in an hour. This was at the time the CM7 for GB got done. I have to say I think this version on CM7 is running great.

    Speed = Advantage to CM7GB
Theme options = MIUI, like being able to mix and match
Battery Life = CM7GB, I think this is because of the kernel because MIUI beat the original CM7
Launcher = I really locked the stock launcher on MIUI, but I am back on GoLauncher and have no issues.
Issues = CM7GB, I have not had any issues that effect my day to day use. MIUI did not really have any issues until the end and then even when I tried to go back to the original release.

Revnumbers has done a great job on this release.

I totaly agree with you on the not being able to take the "iphone" look. If MIUI didn't have the custom themes to get rid of that Iphone look I would have never flashed it. Of course you also have to use a home replacement app.

What I like the most is the UI. There are allot of Roms and themes out there for the Droid X and they are all good Roms but you can only take so much of the same look. No matter which Rom you flash, all your icons and menus are the same. Even with theming.

MIUI has a completely different UI and it's quite honestly refreashing to see something different on my phone. I am waiting for MIUI to go GB. Then we'll be cookin with gas.....lol.

Too glitchy? No details? Probably some simple fixes...

I'm using CM74GB and as I told Bo, is baby bottom-smooth. I am a Stock Gblur fanboi, but I really like this and will stay on it for the time being. I really don't understand the led lights though....yet.

Are you talking about the blinding green led when charging. I read via the kindle app every night and that think hurt my eyes so bad I had to put a piece of electrical tape over it.

    yup! :p

Yeah, that's one of the gitches I was refering to. I know it's not really a "glitch" but that light was annoying. The battery life wasn't good enough either. Overall CM7 runs fine. I know all DX's aren't the same so my experiance with CM7 was probably just MY experiance.

My light doesn't come on, so you must have a setting different. My battery lasts 1 - 1.5 days in good signal. What do you see?

Since Miui was mentioned in here I thought I would ask a question. Has Miui gotten any battery life improvements? Poor battery life is why I left it...great rom, but battery killed me when I was on a trip recently and that did it for me.

So when you put your phone on charge your green LED light dose not come on?

I'd like to know how your LED doesn't come on. I have been through all the settings in CM7 and I have found nothing but ways to change the LED colors, flash times, etc. But nothing to turn off the charging LED.

I know it doesn't come on when charging in the dock.
